As Green As It Gets isn't one person or one vision. It is a culmination of the beliefs, ideas, and moral principles of all of the people involved in order to make a simple idea into reality. Only with the hard work and dedication of all of the people from donors, volunteers, partners and the community have any of the projects that have been envisioned start to bear fruit and become a reality. Meet the people involved in As Green As It Gets - and we hope you will join us to help us build a better future for the people of Guatemala. The FarmersOur farmers are ambitious, independent agricultural families from the Antigua Valley and Huehuetenango who are learning the value-added skills of processing, decaffeinating, roasting and exporting their product.
The ArtisansOur artisans are talented individuals and families who have been inspired to express elements of their culture through traditional and unique handicrafts. Their creations include jade jewelry, iron art, carpentry, ceramics and a range of textiles.
The EntrepreneursThe entrepreneurs are the spirited businessmen and women who found an innovative way to make a new product. They often support our artisans and farmers, making their raw materials like castor oil or growing coffee nursery stock.
The VolunteersOur volunteers donate their time, skills and ideas to making As Green As It Gets’ vision a reality. Some provide administrative support, others build water catchments in our farmers’ fields, some advise on product development and others help to spread the word about our work.
The PartnersOur partners are many and varied, but they all have something in common: they are passionate about our work and we about theirs. We work with our partners to reduce redundancy, to improve service provision and to support each other.
