Financing is one of the biggest barriers to business development for small producers. Without financing, they are unable to invest in land, raw materials, capital equipment or research and development.

You can support a coffee farmer, artisan or textiles producer with a small business loan of $125 or more. Generally the loan term is 13 months, with the interest paid in the lendee's product. At the end of the loan period, the principle can be rolled over into another loan, donated to As Green As It Gets™ or repaid to you.

The largest need for loans is in October and November - when the farmers are preparing for the following year's harvest.

You can also make a loan of less than $125.  Loans less than $125 are viewed as a donation to As Green As It Gets once repaid by the producer, and will not receive an interest payment.
